Managing the Golf Course

By admin, June 21, 2010 1:03 pm

One of the most critical aspects in the game of golf is learning to manage the golf course. Matching your skills with what the golf course gives (or does not give) is a giant step toward shooting lower scores. Many local golf pros offer golf course instruction. For several holes (normally a par 3, 4, and 5 at least), the pro will teach you how to manage the golf course with the shots you are capable of making. Simply learning how to stay out of trouble provides a huge boost. Golf course instruction opens your mind to understanding where you need to put the ball and that going for the pin or the huge drive is not always the best option. Obtaining a couple golf course instruction lessons will improve your management skills.

Get the Results You Want

To achieve the effective golf lesson, instruction must be interactive. You might read that and scoff. Of course, you say. That’s obvious. I wouldn’t necessarily argue with you that it’s not obvious, but in my experience, when providing a golf lesson, instruction often is not interactive. Many people participate just as much as they have to, as if they expect their game to improve auto-magically. Consider the golf lesson instruction you participate in, and consider whether the results have lived up to your expectations. If not, then ask yourself whether you are putting enough into it. Just as with any other aspect of life, you can’t get any more than you put in. Put everything you have into it and do your homework. Then you’ll get the results you want.

Golf Video Lessons

Taking golf lessons doesn’t always have to involve being out on the course with an instructor. Golf video lessons make it possible for you to learn from an expert in the comfort and privacy of your own home. These lessons are a great way to learn new skills and improve your technique when you’re not able to actually be out on the course. Not only that, but golf video lessons also make it possible for you to take a particular lessons several times, as you can watch a video more than just one time, unlike taking actual lessons. Just about every golf lover could use a little help, and video lessons are a perfect way to get that help.

The most important advice

If you could take just one golf tip, this would be the one. It’s all about your head, and more specifically, keeping your head on the course. Hitting straight shots and putting the ball close to the pin is all well and good, but a key golf tip is to make sure that you are thinking your way around the course. Far too many players leave shots out there just because they failed to think things through.

So you’re in the woods, and you think you can shoot a 4-foot gap between some trees. Sounds nice in ideal, but how realistic is that going to be? Don’t make huge mistakes, and your score will look at a lot better at the end of the round. The big numbers are what kill rounds.

Golfing together as a married couple can be a lot of fun.

I was able to pass along a useful golf tip to my wife yesterday at the course, and she immediately started hitting the ball further. She is just a beginning player, and after years of watching me play, she decided to get in on the action. I’ve been trying to help her as much as I can, and I’ve been considering hiring a teacher. I give her a useful golf tip every once in a while, and she seems to be improving. We’re having a lot of fun golfing together and I wish we had started doing this years ago. I’m pretty sure she feels the same way.

Golf Swing Instructions

By admin, November 10, 2009 5:39 pm

If you play golf, then you know there can be so many different golf swing instructions. It gets to the point where you don’t know what or who to listen to. It also makes your approach difficult when you’re on the golf course, or even if you’re at the driving range.

One good thing to remember when you’re at the driving range is to eliminate the thoughts of golf swing instructions. Go slow and when you find a shot that works, try to copy it, again and again. Also remember to take breaks. If you fly though a bucket of balls like most people do, your muscles will become fatigued and you won’t get a true feel for what you can do on the golf course.

It is the dream of pretty much every golfer to travel around the world, playing the best courses in every country. Whether it is St. Andrews in Scotland, the great courses of Australia, or Pebble Beach out in California, there are some extraordinary places that the average player will never see. With a golf course book, you can see and experience those places in pictures and in stories.

One of the best ways to travel the world in golf terms is through a golf course book. You will get to read about many of the world’s best courses and if you are motivated enough, you can go see these places for yourself. Many people have started out with a golf course book, only to go on and complete their own worldwide golfing adventure a few years later.
