Save a Tree, Buy a Golf eBook

I read a lot, and I especially read a lot about golf. At one point, cartons of old golf books had overrun my garage. The truth was, even though I read many books, there were only a handful that I cherished enough to keep in my office. Then my daughter gave me a Kindle as a birthday gift. Shortly after, I received a free golf eBook as a reward for renewing a golf magazine subscription. After reading that first golf eBook, it hooked me. Now I purchase and read all of my books that way, and when I find one that is worth keeping, I purchase the real thing, and place it with my collection. I have a great eBook collection and a refined collection of golf books.

Can Golf Tips in a Magazine Help Your Game?

The fact of the matter is: most golfers have great difficulty extracting useful information from golf magazines. Golf is a game where visualization can be a key to success, and players find it hard to read something and then successfully apply what they have learned in real life. This is not to say that golf tips in a magazine cannot be of some use, but it is unwise to expect dramatic improvements from just studying a certain article.

A golf magazine can be useful in explaining complicated concepts and there are times where a tip will click with someone and their score will lower. The golf swing is a subjective entity, so while written golf tips may help some players, the vast majority of golfers respond better to a hands-on approach.
