Like many novice golfers, I had a terrible problem with slicing. While I really enjoyed golf, it got to the point where if I didn’t determine how to cure my slice, I was going to quite golf for good. Fortunately, I did finally cure my slice, and I still play golf. There wasn’t a magic formula either. I had to cure my slice with a combination of patience and learning not to over swing. Perhaps that is that hardest thing for all novices to learn. We want to drive the ball far, and there is that natural inclination to put everything we have got into killing the ball. Unfortunately, just like in baseball, that throws our mechanics out of whack.

As golfers, we all want to get to the top of the game. Even if that is not possible, we all want to make sure that we are at the top of our own games. With that in mind, how can we make that happen? One way is obviously to perfect the golf swing. If you want lower scores, then you need a sharper swing. But how do you get to the point where people are comparing you to Tiger Woods and Ernie Els?
The answer, of course, lies in not only practice, but practice with a teacher. You need to improve your mechanics and practice them so often that they become something similar to habit. If you can do these things, then you will have a shot to perfect the golf swing. You should know that it’s always best to keep working towards improvement, though. Even Tiger Woods revamps his swing on occasion.

There are many products and systems on the market that promise to make one’s golf swing more natural. A natural golf swing basically refers to a swing that is automatic and repeatable. Natural golf is achieved by simplifying the mechanics of the golf swing, and in theory, the natural approach makes perfect sense.
Most beginner to intermediate golfers are plagued by bad habits. Such habits can greatly reduce the enjoyment of the game of golf. If a player is always being told that they have too much movement in their swing, natural golf could be what is needed.
Natural golf is an exciting concept, and if a golfer feels that they would benefit from this approach, they should find a swing instructor who specializes in natural golf techniques. If this is not possible, there are plenty of courses and systems available that will help one achieve a natural golf swing.

If the name is any indication, then golf instruction schools are there for a very valuable purpose. To put it simply, there are lots of people out there who have natural golf talent. Some people realize this very early on, and they want to exploit that golf talent to the fullest. For that, they head to golf instruction schools, where they learn from the best guys in the business.
If you want to just be a solid weekend golfer, then golf instruction schools probably aren’t for you. If you aspire to something a little bit better than that, though, then golf instruction schools can most certainly serve a purpose. Specifically, they will help you work on the mechanics of your swing and understand the dynamics of thinking your way around a golf course.

When swinging at the tee with your club, you want your path to be natural, fluid, and smooth. You do want to make sure that you have the correct position, grip on your club, and proper orientation toward the green, but you do not want to focus so much on the mechanics that you forget to relax and allow the swing to take its path once you’ve set it up. This is one of the reasons that follow through is so important, as it allows the natural flow of the swing to continue through its curve, keeping you in the right position to hit the ball straight. When you swing your club, focus on the mechanics of set-up, then let it fly and allow your body to act with its instincts.
